Assessment Task
You are required to write a report on the development and usage of Business Intelligence Systems (BIS) in Chempro Pharmacy. You are required to evaluate how a BIS may add value to a business, explain what sets a BIS apart from a normal information system with a reporting functionality, report the lessons and tips you learnt from developing and using BIS in the case study and critically discuss whether the decision recommended by a BIS should be trusted without reservation.

Context
The Examination Committee recently met to review the assessment results and academic progress of all students.
During the review process, it was identified that you had not achieved a final pass grade this study period.
To enable you to make satisfactory progress in your subject and ultimately your course, the Examination Committee has granted you a second opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge.

The written report should address the following tasks:
• Discuss the potential application of Business Intelligence System (BIS) in the nominated business and evaluate whether, if so how, a BIS can add value to the business.
• Explain how a BIS is different from an information system with a reporting functionality.
• Discuss the barriers the business may face in rolling out a BIS for the management of the business.
• Discuss how solve the challenges.
• Critically discuss whether business should always trust the decisions made by a BIS.
Word Limit: 1000 words not including tables, figures, references, executive summary.

Please submit your assessment to the Supplementary Assessment submission point. Please note, on successful completion of this assessment you will only receive a 'Supplementary Pass'' grade for the subject. A FAILED grade for this assessment will lead to a failed grade for the subject.

Marking
The following rubric will be used as a guide to assist the marker. The Supplementary Assessment will not be given a mark but will be graded a Pass or a Fail. A Pass results in a maximum of 50% Final Grade for the subject, and a Fail results in no change to the standing Final Grade mark prior to the Supplementary Assessment being offered.
