Students will with this assessment show that they:
• promoted Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety in the context of at least 1 workplace
• researched culture and history, the impact of European settlement, loss of land and culture and the importance of law and kinship
• evaluated ways to improve communication with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples who may be clients or colleagues.
Students will visit a local health care provider and review that health services cultural safety. Students are expected to consider all aspects of that health service which either support or do not support cultural safety requirements. Following the marking criteria guideline students are to address each one in an 1800-2000 word essay.
