The students will write the Research Proposal for their chosen contemporary issue/topic. Please note that this assessment is an extension of your assessment 1a. (my assessment topic 1a was The role and impact of new technology in the accommodation sector (or Hotel Industry) in Australia.
The students will need to identify the Theoretical, conceptual and Methodological framework, for their primary research.
This assessment will also introduce the students to the art of writing a literature review, identifying the gap and making a thematic table. Further, the students will need to identify the conceptual framework, research design; research methodology, ethical considerations; time frame; budget and limitations pertaining to their research topic.
Further, the students will design a questionnaire as a data collection tool for their primary research.

Students should demonstrate the ability to:
1. Discuss the literature pertaining to the contemporary chosen issue from the tourism and hospitality industry.
2. Meaningfully identify the gap in the literature and pitch their own research.
3. Summarise their literature review in the thematic table.
4. Identify the research question and the objectives for the research proposal
5. Develop their hypothesis.
6. Discuss all the parameters of the methodological framework and provide justifications for their choices.
7. Use relevant concepts and theories to support your discussion.
8. Discuss the ethical issues and limitations of the research.
9. Identify the timeframe and propose the budget for the research
10. Prepare actual Research Proposal in light of the tourism and hospitality projects/issues.
11. Design the questionnaire.
