This will enable students to apply operational checks to a typical commercial hospitality business. More importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop essential groups work skills that are such a necessity in today’s business world.
Students are to form groups of three to four members (no more), and your task is to prepare an A1 poster and present it to the class. Your presentation length must not exceed 15 minutes.
In this assessment, your group must investigate the most recent case of food poisoning which occurred in the five-star luxury hotel – Hilton. To start your investigation, please read the following article:

You are then required to identify, describe and analyse the primary quality, beverage and food safety concerns that you have found in your investigation. Based on your analysis you are to recommend at least three action-based solutions to avoid such a crisis in the future.
