Scenario:
For this project, you are to manage a complex project as allocated by your assessor. This is not a technical task, but a fundamental project management task. Information provided for each allocated task will be intentionally limited, and you will need to communicate with your client (assessor) for more information and details on the project.
A general outline of this task is as follows:
You have been requested to implement a new WAN network over a 2 neighbouring building in Sydney CBD. Both building have a dedicated server room with a Linux based server to handle all network traffic. The company occupies 1 floor in building 1 and 2 floors in building 2. They have specified that they would like to have a secure network for the upper management of the company to use (building 1), and a basic client – server network configuration for the remainder of the office space (building 2 – both floors).The offices will be storing all files on their file server via secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and should be able to access the files of other employees but not change/alter them.
Your tasks:
This project requires you to:
1. Gather information on the start-up activities through appropriate information gathering techniques. You should obtain information on the following:

2. Base on the information that you have gathered from the various stakeholders that you have identified complete the following documents and plans for your project:

• Training plan
• Disaster recovery plan
3. Coordinate the project implementation through managing integration of project activities, stakeholder output, disagreements and disputes and any change requests, including the change proposal documentation.
4. Actively monitor the project.
5. Arrange project follow-up activities including testing, trialling and/or building requirements
6. Write a project closure report after conducting the post project review and document lessons learned
7. Obtain final project approval from the relevant authorities
8. Review and Update the existing disaster recovery plan, as needed

3. Did it operate within the scope of the terms of reference?
4. Did the deliverables meet the criteria defined in the quality plan
5. Was it delivered within the schedule outlined in the project plan
6. Was it delivered with the budget outlined in the financial plan
