Application This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to evaluate and enhance own practice through a process of reflection and ongoing professional development.
This unit applies to workers in all industry sectors who take pro-active responsibility for their own professional development.

Instructions to the candidate
The following activity requires you to read and answer the questions below, providing a thorough analysis and an expanded answer.

What is your understanding of the term professional practice? Provide an example of a professional practice you undertake in the workplace.

CHCPRP003 Assessment Task 2 – Research
Instructions to the candidate
This task is a larger assessment that requires you to provide a product that simulates particular tasks performed in an actual workplace. Carefully read and complete all instructions below before submitting your assessment.
There are three (3) sections to this task.
Part A: Own Practice
You will need to complete the Learning Style Questionnaire provided in the shaded box below, before reading and answering the following questions.
1. Explain your identified learning style
2. Now that you are aware of your learning style, how will this affect your learning in the future?
3. How do you think learner styles might impact how people relate to each other in the workplace?
LEARNING STYLES QUESTIONAIRE

(It’s best to complete the questionnaire before reading the accompanying explanation.)

When you have identified your learning style(s), research your style and answer the questions from Part A.
Part B: Reflective practices
Think of a situation that has arisen in the workplace that has helped you develop your communication or personal interaction skills. Any situation where colleagues, families or children are involved and you feel the cause may have been due to cultural differences.
Write a brief report outlining:
1. Details of the situation (without identifying workplace or other parties)
2. What legal and ethical aspects are there to the situation?
3. How did you address the situation?
4. What feedback or support did (or would) you seek from others?
5. How has this helped you to develop your own skill?
6. How has this helped you to adjust your own values, beliefs or behaviours?
7. What would you do differently in the future?
8. What additional training did you seek or would you recommend in relation to this situation?
Your report should be 300-400 words in length.
Part C: Relating work practices to policy and procedures
1. a) Briefly describe your work role (approx. 100 words)
b) In relation to your own work role, describe one practice or process for each of these points and identify an area of improvement for each.

Instructions to the candidate
This task is a larger assessment that requires you to provide a product that simulates particular tasks performed in an actual workplace. Carefully read and complete all instructions below before submitting your assessment.
Develop a Personal Development Plan
Candidates are to read and complete each section outlined below to create a personal development plan.
1. Explain types of work methods and practices that can be used to improve professional performance.
2. During a supervision or feedback session discuss your professional goals with a supervisor and seek feedback from them to assist you in developing your strategies to attain these goals. Record this feedback and write a description of the feedback and the action you will take in response to the feedback.
3. Using the goals that you have identified, complete the below SMART Goal Template, reflecting on your own practices. Identify and record three (3) professional goals.
4. Transfer your three goals to the Personal Development Plan provided below and complete this document detailing how you plan to achieve the goals, what action you or someone in your network will need to take to support it, what resources you will require, your timeframe and how you will measure progress toward your goals.
5. Explain how your goals may align with current and emerging industry developments.
