AERD30030 Agri-Environmental Economics End-of-Trimester Essay
The essay question is:
What economic valuation technique(s) would you use to measure the value of improving water quality in the River Shannon?
Explain your suggested methodology, and why you believe it is preferable to the potential alternatives.
Please answer in a target of approximately 3,500 words (excluding your bibliography and any tables/graphs/maps/diagrams).
This individual essay is worth 70% of your overall module grade, and the deadline is 11.59pm on Monday 16th May 2022.
The deadline has been pushed out as far as possible, and obviously you can submit to Brightspace (please see ‘Assessment’ and then ‘Assignments’) much earlier if you wish.
Please assume that the study has to be conducted during the summer of 2022.

short explanatory YouTube videos), is in the “Week 3 and especially “Week 5” folders on Brightspace – please see under “Learning Materials”.
You will also need to conduct your own Google searches for information on the River Shannon itself.
