Task
You are to analyse the case study on page 2 of this document, to identify the impact of chronic illness and to identify care priorities/areas of need. Present your paper using the Levett-Jones (2018) Clinical Reasoning Cycle to identify two (2) care priorities, supported by the Roper-Logan-Tierney model of nursing. It is expected that appropriate evidence-based literature will be used to support.
Case Study
Mark Stumkat is a 32-year-old diagnosed with osteoarthritis (bilateral wrists and knees) and anxiety. Mark is an artist, renowned for large-scale recycled metal sculptures. He is engaged to David, a management consultant, and the couple plan to marry in 2022. David travels often for his work. The couple have two German Shepard’s, Lola and Max, who are very active. Mark and David’s families both live nearby, and the couple often host large family gatherings in their home.
Mark explains lately he is experiencing increasing pain and stiffness in his wrists and knees, which is impacting on his work. He is concerned that his chronic illness and levels of pain are having an impact on his family life. He is not sleeping well at night, explaining he is kept awake with worries about his work. He no longer has the energy to walk the dogs. Mark has been provided referrals to a physiotherapist, dietician, occupational therapist and has appointments for all within the next 4 weeks.

Para 1: What is your first priority? What information have you used to arrive at this? Where on the RLT dependence/independence continuum (by way of equipment, treatments, or interventions) Be specific and explain the priority in depth here.
Para 2: What will the consequences be if you do not address this as your priority? This is where you need to justify this being your priority- use evidence to support.
Para 3: What is your goal as the nurse in relation to the identified care priority? And what will your intervention be? You will need to substantiate this with evidence and a rationale and bring in the NSQHS partnering with consumers standard.

Para 5: What will the consequences be if you do not address this as your priority? This is where you need to justify this being your priority- use evidence to support.
Para 6: What is your goal as the nurse in relation to the identified care priority? And what will your intervention be? You will need to substantiate this with evidence and a rationale and bring in the NSQHS partnering with consumers standard.
