Write a 250 to 300-word reflection upon class material that fulfills the following:
Relatively recently, many public and private universities throughout the US have been reducing or eliminating humanities departments. Using the CONTENT (not the logistics or modality) of the course as the foundation of your response, provide an argument for the continued need for the presence of philosophy as a department here at UHD. (Of course, you can also provide an argument for the elimination and/or reduction of the presence of philosophy at UHD.)
What I am looking for in this WTL is a demonstration of reflection upon the content of the course and its value to your education. This will require some consideration of what the purpose of education is and whether you think this course and philosophy, in general, plays a role in achieving that goal.
This assignment is not an end of semester course evaluation. (Hopefully, you already submitted a course evaluation.)
