Introduction:
During this course you have been introduced to the concept of culture and how it shapes thinking and behaviour. In this assessment you are expected to demonstrate intercultural knowledge when exploring how your own cultural background influences your perception, values and beliefs. Self-awareness is a fundamental principle in intercultural communication, it enables us to move beyond cultural generalisations and helps to develop cultural intelligence. This assessment requires you to research and assess your personal culture to deepen your selfknowledge. Use the intercultural theories and principles as discussed

in class to plan and develop a creative and engaging video presentation about your insights.
Instruction:
You need to undergo self-reflection addressing the following points:
• Explore how personal culture, socialisation, class, context and other influences shapes your thinking and behaviour at work.
• Identify how cultural values and beliefs influence your thinking and behaviour at work.
• Describe any strengths and areas for development of your cultural competency.
Video presentations need to:
• Demonstrate cultural self-awareness trough reflection upon your role as a global citizen.
• Distinguish differences between cultures.
• Show your ability to connect intercultural theories and principles with real-world business situations and behaviours by reflecting on personal culture and identity.
• Link your cultural self-awareness to your behaviour.
Before developing your multimedia product, you need to create a storyboard using Canva and be clear about your goals. Submissions must be accompanied by a transcript of all content. Your transcript must contain in-text references and reference list. You must ensure that your storyboard and transcript can be clearly delivered in a 5 minute video presentation. You are encouraged to use imaginative media content and delivery that has a solid grounding in the concepts and theories covered in class. You will upload your video to your onedrive and provide the link to the video in your transcript. You must ensure that the link is correctly set for your lecturer to view the video presentation.
