In first person write one sentence explaining your sector, current level of experience and the name of the curriculum framework (and weblink) most relevant to your context.
Using third person complete the following short answer questions:
1. In one or two sentences define curriculum as a concept, then describe the key components of the curriculum framework currently most relevant to your context and their relationship to curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting. (approx. 500 words – 8 marks)

2. In what ways do sector specific core expectations and standards (e.g ethical considerations; codes of conduct; professional standards) impact on schools and teacher practice? Use specific examples to illustrate your answer. (approx. 500 words - 8 marks)

3. In what ways should pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning alter as students progress through their early years of learning and beyond? Discuss three similarities and differences across the approaches? (Consider play and pedagogy through to youth and adult learning) (approx. 300 words – 4 marks)

4. Consider the following:
Within the group of learners that you are working with there is one learner who has a mild visual impairment, another who finds it very difficult to sit still and listen, and another who has irregular attendance. (Please explain the possible reason for this lack of regular attendance so as to clarify the adjustments that you would make to curriculum delivery – it could be related to family, illness, travel, lack of commitment etc.)

Pedagogically how could the needs of these learners be catered for and what impact might these considerations have on curriculum delivery? (approx. 400 words – 5 marks)

Part B Historical and contemporary policy influences
Create a PPT consisting of 9-10 slides naming 5 major landmark documents or legislative policies that have significantly impacted on your current education context. Use dot points to justify why you have chosen the particular examples provided. Explain the social, political, economic, cultural, global, technological and work related considerations that have contributed to these landmark moments and how these have influenced curriculum development and teacher practice.
