You have been provided a sample case study below:
Case Study – Yeemi
You are an employee of Yeemi Pty Ltd (Yeemi) running successfully in the field of Ecommerce from last decade. Yeemi promotes you as an IT Admin with huge responsibility to plan and implement various application servers for their organization in 2020. You are the project leader of a proposed project which will analyse human usability in systems and documentation within the context of constantly changing modern industry requirements. This will automate and equip internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders to instantly communicate through evolving concept of Directory-as-a-Service.
The problems with the current scenario are:
• The top management and many customers are dissatisfied with the current situation. Competitive companies have improved their older ways of functioning and are surpassing Yeemi in terms of transparency for internal stakeholders and overall customer satisfaction for external stakeholders.
Your CEO has stressed the importance of the project to the company and asked you to use your skills as an IT Admin to make sure the project is successful by following the relevant IT project ethics. The organisation has given you guidance that the project needs to be completed within 9 months and that costs should be minimised wherever possible. Decisions like this will most likely require deep thought as they involve people, resources and the environments.
You may make any appropriate assumptions needed to enable the successful completion of the project.
Assignment Task
Hint: (i) An application server is designed to install, operate and host applications and associated services for end users, IT services and organizations and facilitates the delivery of high-end customers. It is diverse from but frequently works in concurrence with a web application server.
For this assignment, you can plan and implement LDAP server and new WebServer (two or more application servers) for Yeemi which will be beneficial for both internal and external stakeholders.
(ii) “In recent years, usability has become more than a concept. In many organizations, usability is an important part of software development. And more and more companies are discovering that not only is usability good for users, it’s also good business.” [Adapted from Usability: A Business Case]
“The Three S's of Ecommerce” [Available: https://www.top10ecommercesitebuilders.com/]
For this assignment, you can do analysis of Human-Computer Interactions and Usability for old and new WebServer for Yeemi by comparing and contrasting the implemented system with cutting edge Ecommerce portals like eBay, Amazon, Alibaba etc.
Prepare a report that includes the following sections:
A. Executive summary that provides a brief summary of the report and the key findings that emerged in regards to plan and implement various application servers and your analysis of Human-Computer interactions and usability.
B. Introduction about how you go to intend about this project with global awareness.
C. Perform the configurations using either virtually or physically installed server OS to realise the case study. Students can use Windows Server 2008 or a higher version, or Linux server if appropriate, which will depend on your assumptions. Your submission should include screenshots of each important step through evolving concept of Directory-as-a-Service.
D. Prepare a detailed system documentation report to cover your work done in step C, using a standard template. You have the freedom to create a template, with company name, logo, etc., and use that for your documentation report. This report will serve as an important part of backup and disaster recovery documentation for your organisation, and can be used for training new IT staff in the organisation.
E. You must consider human usability factors and include the configurations using description of each important step, and screenshots corresponding to those in a way that will be useful to the target customers or users in regards to implementing user centered portal design.
F. Compare and contrast the implemented system in step E, with cutting edge Ecommerce portals like eBay, Amazon, Alibaba etc. in regards to Human-Computer interactions and usability. Use your implemented system to demonstrate individually during your week-12 lab. Individual understanding will be tested during your demonstration.
Submission Guidelines:
This assignment is a group assignment. Students will work in minimum groups of three and only the group leader will submit the files required at Moodle assignment submission link.
1. Your report should include the following:
• The report should have a consistent, professional, and well-organised appearance. The word limit to create the report is 1800-2000 words.
• Students are required to submit the range of documents mentioned in the Assignment Task.

• Reference sources (IEEE style) must be cited in the text of the report, and listed appropriately at the end in a reference list.
2. The assignment must be submitted in electronic copy on Assignment 2 Submission Link.
Note: The students are advised to visit Centre of Learning for guidance in making professional reports.
SPARKPLUS
? SPARKPLUS is Self & Peer Assessment and Feedback for group assignment. It is an individual and compulsory task for each student. SPARKPLUS RPF factor is a value between 0 and 1 which will determine the final assignment mark. This factor is generated by the SPARKPLUS website as soon as the group members do the SPARKPLUS review task. Please read Student’s SPARKPLUS Guideline in the assignment folder for how to use it.
