The therapeutic relationship in mental health nursing, also known as the therapeutic alliance, is an interpersonal, mutual and negotiated collaboration. Task: The capacity for meaningful interactions and relationships is an important nursing skill. Discuss how and why mental health nurses develop therapeutic relationships/therapeutic alliances with consumers who have depression.
