PART A
You are working as an IT consultant for Nubex Pty Ltd. The Company has assigned you to develop the Network infrastructure for AHIC College. This college was established on year 2016. AHIC College has got 100 users and runs different courses such as IT, Business, Leadership and Management and accounting. Currently, there are 30 Desktop computers with One Server. All of desktop computer has installed Windows XP Operating System and Server has installed Windows Server 2003.
Hardware requirements for Server has been given below:
• Processor: 2 GHz (for x64 processors)
• RAM: 32 GB
• DVD-ROM drive
• Super VGA (800 x 600)
• Keyboard and mouse
• Internet access
Hardware requirement for Client machine has been given below:
• Processors: 1.70 GHz (for x64 processors)
• RAM: 8 GB
• DVD-R/W Drive
• Keyboard and mouse
• Intel ® Graphics Family
• Internet access.
The problem with current infrastructure is computer is very slow, No Group policy has not been configured, Printer has connected with only one computer and use common user to access all computers.
In this Regards, AHIC has requested you to choose the Virtual machine software including two network Operating Systems (Server Machine and Client Machine) as per given hardware requirement, share printers, User will be part of domain and GPO can be implemented in Organisational Unit.
Task 1: A detailed installation plan that include:
1. Background Information (Approximately 100 Words)
2. Overview of deployment environment (Approximately 50 Words)
3. Types of Cabling (Approximately 100 Words)
4. Select the most suitable visualization software including Server Operating System and Client Operating System (Approximately 100 Words)
5. Details of preferred installation option (Approximately 50 Words)
6. Proposed Server Role ( at least three)
7. Network Infrastructure Diagram
8. Proposed Software application (Approximately 40 Words)
Task 2: Once the plan has been developed, the student is to explain the plan to the client, justify the use of Server and client Operating System Using PowerPoint. Modifications may be required, so the student is to ensure the plan meets the clients’ requirements.
PART B
Based on Part A of the Assessment 2, Student must have demonstrate the following Tasks:
Task 1:
Install Virtual Machine software
Task 2:
Install Sever based and client based Operating System in the virtual machine
Task 3:
Verify the Connection using Ping Commands
Task 4:
Install and Configure Server Role (Active directory, IIS DHCP and Print Service)
Task 5:
Connect and configure clients
Task 6:
Set up password policy as password complexity disabled and minimum password length zero in Server Operating System
Update password policy. Which command did you use?
Task 7:
Remotely connect Client machine to Server machine and vice versa
Task 8:
Create two new users. One is John Black and the other is Teresa Green. They do not require a password and the password do not expire.

PART B:
• Student must demonstrate all Tasks (Task 1 – Task 8) in the class using appropriate software
