E-portfolio Assessment Details Term 2, 2017
Due date: 21-09-2017 (10 A.M) ASSESSMENT

Weighting: 30%
Length: 500 words
Assessment task
Your portfolio should capture rich ideas, resources and innovative practice around business process management within the context of the four topics (Organisational Processes & Structure, Business Process Performance Measurement, Business Process Analysis, and Business Process Improvement Methodologies). To achieve this, you are to conduct an Internet research on the four ePortfolio topics. Search for items related to each ePortfolio topic. The items you may include in the portfolio could be YouTube videos, clips from lectures and/or tutorials, relevant websites and your own work that you produce in the tutorials. You should review the items you find around the specified topic and select a minimum of 5 items for each week and link them to your portfolio. So to start with, you need to create a portfolio on Mahara with 4 pages (i.e. 1 page for each of the above weekly topic) and each page should have 5 items with a justification for each item.
In the justification, firstly provide a brief summary of the chosen item and secondly outline why you chose the item i.e. why you thought the item chosen was appropriate and/or relevant to the topic. Your justification for each item should be around 100 words (100 words for each item * 5 items = 500 words on each page).
Do not upload files from the Internet as you do not own copyright. If you do upload such files, this will amount to plagiarism. You are to provide hyperlinks to the files/webpages you are referring to.
In this assessment, Harvard referencing format and citations are to be used to substantiate your justification. Refer to this guide for help with Harvard referencing.
Submission
You will use Mahara (CQU Portfolio) to gather and present each weekly portfolio. Unfortunately, Mahara has not been fully integrated with Moodle, and therefore we will use Moodle to send feedback to you on the marking.
The weekly portfolio is to be submitted by creating a Secret URL in Mahara and pasting the URL into Moodle for marking and feedback.
Details about how to create the Secret URL are on the COIT 20252 Moodle unit site.

Note: We will be using the CQU Portfolio in the Business Analysis unit that follows this one. You might want to consider gathering items into your portfolio that you can use in future. You can store items in your portfolio that are not shared with anyone or share a particular view with a specific group. In this way, you can build up many different views for many different purposes. It is a common practice for people to build a portfolio to share with prospective employers, which is one use of your portfolio. As with your blog, please remain objective in your evaluation of items you collect in the each of the views.
As Mahara is only available to you while studying at CQUni, you can export your portfolio when you have finished your studies or transfer it to one of many free for use portfolios.
Please note the difference in marks for eportfolios (1 & 2) and (3 & 4). Eportfolios 1 & 2 have been allocated a maximum of 6 marks while eportfolios 3 & 4 have been allocated a maximum of 9 marks. This could enable you to progress to a possibly higher mark and rectify any shortcomings, based on your marker’s feedback, as you progress through the term.
