The Assignment:
You are working as an enterprise architect in NGN Co., you have been given the responsibility to design and document the end-to-end telecom solution adhering to the following business requirements:
• An end-to-end architecture diagram that highlights the key aspects of your solution or proposal covering network solutions for the major cities and regional areas.
• The solution to deliver a highly available, very reliable and very fast infrastructure, and make sure the solution is scalable to support current and future business requirements.
• Make sure the proposed solution will support both consumer and business customers for their connectivity and integration needs. (Consumer with their household requirements, and business with their enterprise corporate needs and expectations)
• The proposed solution to support state of the art and cost effective technologies, make sure to explore both high-speed wireless and wire-based technologies.
• Your proposal should also include solution for end user computing and network connective enable the support for multiple devices and application. (Make sure end user PC’s Notebooks, Phone services (Fixed and Mobile), email and data requirements and media and IPTV content applications are supported.
• Also make sure your proposal will document and recommend an end to end network and systems management of the solution. Or in other words how to manage and monitor the network end to end to identify problems or congestion
You need to develop a report supported by diagrams for the solution, explaining:
• Your design needs to demonstrate an end-to-end design first on one page then explain all design layers and component.
• Your design should also demonstrate how the solution integrates in all levels of the network (Core, Distribution, Access networks and user premises) across user applications and provider infrastructure services.
• How can multiple user devices connect and leverage your solution (voice, data and media), also need to demo how an application on a PC or Mobile App connect to the internet and consume applications and services.
• Rationale of the solution include advantages and disadvantages of the solution (please document what options you have considered and why you have recommended a specific technology).
Your report must not exceed thirty (30) A4 pages, using 11pt or 12pt Arial or Times font for the body text.

• Some additional marks will be given for Innovative Approaches to presenting your Report that increase its readability and/or, improve the understanding of the subject matter.

Marking of the Assignment
• Marks will be added based on how well the assignment meets the requirements given above, in a document that is well structured and presented with clarity.
• Marks will be deducted if; o The Assignment is too long
o There are large amounts of copying of external reference information from a few source, o There is too much similarity between two or more assignments o The Assignment is late (see Unit Outline for rules)
