Growth of Education apps
Project Overview
ADTC solutions have 120+ engineering apps on iTunes, windows and Google play store.
These Apps are downloaded over 3 million times over a two year period and command a monthly user base of 250k users. The app is used by students all across the world. The app contains the reading materi-al, news and contributions section. Below are the links of google play store.

However, in the past year though the revenue has doubled, it has stagnated now at that level. Per day downloads have also remained stagnant for the last 6 months. Even when there are changes in the prod-uct in terms of look and feel, adding news, and now the user generated content the app usage and has failed to kick off and due to which the company is forced to look into development of other apps and other avenues of revenues.
Since the engineering apps are the bread and butter and still command a chunk of revenues the company want to conduct a study on the user feedback, functions, gap analysis, and competitive analysis which should suggest the company on how to get more users to use the app.
Project Requirements
• The project team is required to conduct a usage analysis of the apps including factors such as the flow of the app, the UX and UI of the app, etc. to answer a simple question what is stopping people to use the app again and again.
• Data Analysis: The Company will provide the usage statistics of the apps. The project team should car-ry out a competitive analysis by analysing usage statistics of competing apps. The usage data for com-peting apps can be extracted app store.
• In comparative analysis, the team must draw a comparison between the features offered by the competing apps. The project team may also suggest changes in the current apps by analysing the user reviews for competing apps.
• App discovery: check with various keywords if users are able to get the app in top 10 in all the search-es and if not why.
• Conduct a SWOT analysis for the app.
• Conduct a dipstick study with the engineering students as what is lacking in the app and what is needed to refine it. Any student who is a part of dipstick should use the app for a week.
