Assignment and Presentation requirements:

? Write a 1,500-word argumentative essay
? demonstrate your understanding of the issue
? outline the various arguments relating to the issue
? justify your position (by referring to financial accounting concepts and theories)
? Use5-10academic references (including books and journal articles, as well as online academic resources. Wikipedia is NOT an academic reference).
? Present your assignment in front of the class.
Assignment Steps:
1. With your partner, identify an issue from the above conversation and relate it in Australian Accounting context
2. Choose your topic (with your partner) based on the issue you found.
3. Research the topic making sure you note the bibliographic details of your sources.
4. End of Week 2 – consult your lecturer to confirm your topic for the essay.
5. Write an essay plan.
6. Write the essay draft.
7. Review your draft, write a final draft and submit in Week 5.2 via Turnitin.
Presentation Steps:
1. Both the group members have to present the group assignment
2. Make a plan how you will present your work
3. Prepare power point slides of your assignment
4. Bring a soft copy of your presentation in week 5.2
5. Present your assignment in front of the class within stipulated time in week 5.2 (10-15 Minutes)
6. Answer questions raised from the class (3-5 Minutes)
