Title: “Accessibility Issues and A11Y upheaval”
Marks Allocation: Worth 30% of the total marks for this unit
Due Date: August 26th 2015 Before Midnight.
Suggested Length: A maximum of 2500 words are allowed.

Submission: Via Blackboard – only submit as a word document ( do not submit a PDF)
Assignment Task: Write an essay that discusses the importance of accessibility in websites and in documents. The essay should identify and explain what is meant by the term “accessibility” within the context of ICT. Include an understanding of the key guidelines, rules and standards that relate to accessibility, and what is required in Australia. This essay should give an overview of accessibility issues in the usage of ICT devices, and recognise the emerging challenges for the implementation of Accessibility features in ICT.
The essay must cover issues with PDF documents, issues of vision impairment, web responsive design, and the four principles of WCAG 2.0. It should outline any challenges that accessibility has with ICT Security features such as “Captcha”.
Finally - Explain which is more important to the advancement of accessibility: (a) Haptics, (b) Document Accessibility, or (c) Multi-Factor Authentication. Give clear reasons that support your answer.
Research Quality.
This assignment requires you to write your essay based upon sourced research information. At university level this requires the use of Journals, Conference papers and peer reviewed material.
You should avoid the use of online websites and unsubstantiated articles. Instead you must demonstrate an understanding of quality research material. If unsure, ask in class to avoid a poor result.

All sources of references must be cited (in text citation) and listed (end reference list).
